The Impossible Stringband

The Impossible Stringband. L’origine de ce groupe remonte à 2010 dans une cuisine de Galway Bay (Irlande) où quatre compère, spécialistes de quatre univers instrumentaux différents, se sont retrouvés. Peter Brazier (guitare, mandoline, violon, chant), Jean-Luc Patard, (guitare, washboard, chant), Frank Hall (violon, contrebasse, chant) et Eileen Fleming (harpe, contrebasse, chant) ont créé « The Impossible Stringband » pour jour un répertoire allant de la musique irlandaise au swing des annnées 30 de la Nouvelle Orléans en traversant les bayous du pays cajun et vers le violon Old time des montagnes Appalaches. That's right! We play music from four different acoustic styles and traditions. Included are: harp compositions from the 18th century, traditional Irish dance tunes, old-time fiddle tunes and songs from the Appalachian mountains, Cajun two-steps and waltzes from the Louisianna bayous, as well as swing and pop numbers from French Gypsy sources to tin pan alley.
